I was going to mention the fact that PG had a record snowfall last week.  I don't think it stopped snowing for 48 hours.  We had something like 50 cm of snow.  Shattered records all the way back to the 40s.  When the plows finally came through on Wednesday or Thursday, this is what you could see of our house.feb pics 029

And this is what we did with it.

And I couldn't resist adding this one. :)

Sick

That about sums it all up.  We have been sick for a couple of weeks.  Not a whole lot of fun.  Elijah has an ear infection and we are pretty sure that Josiah will be there pretty quick.  I took Friday off as I was not feeling well either.  Beth is doing the best of all of us which is great as she doesn't have the energy to be sick at the moment.  I got to feel the baby move the other night.  Very exciting.  Beth keeps having dreams that she is having twins.  We will find out on thursday as she is going in for an ultrasound.  School is going well.  I have great classes and I got my contract upgraded to a 1.0 from a .857.  That means they will back pay me for all of last semester and i will got more each check this semester.  God looks after us very well.  Now all we need is two or three families to move to PG with 2 or three kids each around Elijah and Josiah's age and life would be amazing.  I do very much enjoy the snow but it has snowed quite a lot recently and I have not really felt up to shoveling all the time.

Read two very intersting articles in time magizine the other day.  One was that some Anglican bishop said that we don't go to heaven when we die.  It was very contraversial that he had come out and said this.  Rather interesting that he actually read his bible and came to that conclusion.  I would like to write him and tell him to take a closer look at the rest of his beliefs.  Second article was about the catholics new pray/mass that they are doing in latin that talks about converting the Jews.  The Jews didn't like it very much so they are not speaking to each other now.  Just another sign that the catholics have always hated the Jews and will push for their destruction.

Last thing is we watched a fascinating documentary called Jesus Camp.  Its all about the evangelical movement in the states getting their kids to start preaching.   These kids are about 8-10 and they are being grilled to go out and save the nation.  Very intersting.  Very wrong doctrinally but at least they have the courage to stand up for what they believe and teach it to their children.  Who much are we willing to stand up for what we believe and tell those around us?  And we have the truth and can prove it from the scriptures.  Makes me want to try harder.

Busy

We have a moment break from our busy schedual so I thought we would write a new post to let you all know what we have been up to.  Well we are in our house and pretty much settled.  Dad Sargent did so much work for us when he was here.  It was amazing.  It was very tiring trying to keep up with him.  We were sick as well when he was here which didn't help.  It was so great to see everybody up here over the holidays.  The boys loved hanging out with Ethan as well as Kate and Rachel.  We have also bought a new van to go along with the new house and God willing new baby.  Well the van is not new but it is new to us.  03 Odyssey.  They gave us a really good trade in value for our car which is rare.  Another cool thing happened with the van.  We got the place we bought it from to put new winter tires on the car.  We tried to get them to pay for them but they wouldn't in the original deal.  But when I went to pick up the van and pay for the tires they were like no you don't have to pay.  Hurray.  God provides in so many different ways at different times.  That was very cool cuz we were wondering where we were going to get the extra money from.  School is almost done for the semester.  I have my big Dance performance for the school the end of this week.  Hope the girls actually show up for it.  Many have threatened not to.  It was great to have Kayla also up here for last weekend.  We went and hung out in our very own yard this weekend and played lots with the boys.  It is so amazing to own your own piece of property that is plenty big enough to dig tunnels and build forts and have a blast with your family in your own back yard with lots of trees and snow and fresh air.  Not to many places you can afford this type of space.  We are so blessed where we live.  Thats about all up here in the winter wonderland.  I'll try and put up some pics of our house and weekend.

Well we are officially into our house.  Very exciting.  We are liking it more  and more every day even though we are finding more and more things that we need to do.  We are mostly out of boxes but still have things to move around and settle in.  We are going to replace the sink in the upstairs bathroom.  We need to do something with the woodchip insulation in the attic.  We have fixed the washer and dryer downstairs but still need to move out the massive old freezer that we down there.  After that we need to start to figure out what we are going to do with the basement.  We will need to add another room but don't know where.  Kind of an weird layout.  will have to enlist the amazing talents of a certain individual that lives south of here.  On another note we took Elijah to the emergency last night at midnight as he was having trouble breathing and his heart rate was so fast that I couldn't count it.  We had given him some infant dinatap before bed and we think that did it.  Josiah was wired until about 10:30 as well.  Well Elijah is all right but sure did scare us.  I thought I was going to have to use my CPR skills that I have never used ever.  Beth stayed at home and consoled herself with reading the Psalms.  The one in particular was "Be still and know that I am God".

We are enjoying all the company that is up here at the moment.  Caleb and Julia and kids as well as John and Jessica and kids.  Would be lovely if another family moved up here.  Any takers out there?  Beth just came up stairs and said that she put the first load of laundry in.  cool.

Hey all,
you should all go and check out PG's new website that we are trying to get up and running.  Pretty basic at the moment but hopefully it will build and get bigger and better as we go.  pgbiblestudy.com  I am pretty much doing it myself at the moment so any comments or suggestions would be great.  You never know who may come across it so we'll put it out there.
